The MECC Maastricht in brief
The MECC Maastricht is the city’s main exhibition and conference centre. It lies on the south side of Maastricht near the A2 motorway, about 10 minutes by car from the historic centre. Fairs, congresses and concerts take place there throughout the year. A few examples from the calendar:
- TEFAF Maastricht in March, the leading fair for fine art and antiques. In 2027 the preview days are 11 and 12 March (by invitation only) and the public days run from 13 to 18 March.
- Jumping Indoor Maastricht in November, international show jumping.
- Medical and scientific congresses, such as ESID.
- The BBB fair, the Dutch trade fair for the hospitality industry.
- The André Rieu Christmas concerts.

Parking at the MECC and the route
By car you reach the MECC via the A2. There is parking at the MECC, but during large events the approach roads and car parks get busy, especially around opening time and when everyone leaves. We deliberately do not list parking rates here, as they can differ per event. For current parking information, and whether you need to reserve in advance, always check mecc.nl or the information from your event.
A few practical tips:
- Arrive early. At busy events the queue for the car parks is longest just before opening.
- Consider P+R Maastricht Noord. To avoid the traffic around the MECC, you can park on the north side of the city and continue by public transport. Check the current connections in advance and whether they suit the times of your event.
- By train. From Maastricht station you still need onward transport to the MECC, which is less convenient with luggage or after a long journey.
- Be driven. With a chauffeur there is no parking to find: you step out at the entrance and are collected there.
From Amsterdam and Schiphol to the MECC by chauffeur
The drive from Amsterdam to Maastricht, or from Schiphol to the MECC, takes about 2.5 hours. Your chauffeur collects you at your home, your hotel or the Schiphol arrivals hall and drives you directly to the entrance of the MECC.
