A wedding chauffeur in Amsterdam from SilverDrive means a Mercedes-Maybach or Mercedes-Benz S-Class, a screened chauffeur and a car booked by the hour, so it stays with you from the first pickup to the last drop-off. The day is priced fixed and agreed at booking, and guest shuttles can run on the same booking.
What a wedding chauffeur actually does
A good wedding chauffeur does two jobs, and only one of them is driving. The first is delivering the right car, clean and early, at every point in the day. The second, the one couples remember afterwards, is being the calm person in the operation who is never late, never lost and never rattled on a day when at least one thing will not go to plan.
In practice that means arriving 20 to 30 minutes before the first departure, watching the running order against real traffic, positioning the car so the photographer gets the door shot, and telling your day coordinator early when a timing needs to move.
What is included in your wedding car with driver
- The car and chauffeur for the hours you book: waiting at the ceremony, following to the photo location and staying until the evening departure
- A route checked in the days before, with drop-off points agreed with each venue in advance
- A screened, English-speaking chauffeur, dressed for the occasion and briefed on your running order
- One fixed price for the day, agreed at booking
- Optional guest transport in a V-Class, Sprinter or coach on the same booking
Choosing the wedding car
For the couple, the choice is usually between two cars, both from our own fleet rather than a broker's list.
Mercedes-Maybach S-Class
The Mercedes-Maybach S-Class answers the three practical questions: the dress fits through the long rear doors with dignity, the car photographs well, and the back cabin is quiet enough for the one calm moment you will get all day. It is a single car, not a pool, so popular dates go first.
Mercedes-Benz S-Class
The Mercedes-Benz S-Class is the quiet classic: elegant in photographs, roomy in the back and slightly less of a statement than the Maybach. Some couples prefer exactly that.
Cars for the guests
The Mercedes-Benz V-Class seats seven and suits parents, witnesses or the photographer with kit. The Sprinter VIP seats sixteen and runs shuttle loops between ceremony and reception. The Setra coach moves 56 guests in one lift.
Plenty of couples book a vintage car for the photographs and a chauffeured S-Class for the actual moving around. That arrangement works well, and we are happy to be the reliable half of it.
Wedding transport in Amsterdam and across the Netherlands
Amsterdam asks for more planning than most wedding locations. The canal ring, low bridges and restricted quays mean drop-off points are agreed with each venue in advance and routes are checked in the days before, not the morning of. From our Amsterdam base we cover weddings anywhere in the Netherlands, and celebrations across the border in Belgium or Germany. On multi-day celebrations, the same chauffeur stays with you throughout.
Who this suits, and who it does not
It suits couples who want transport to be the one part of the day nobody has to think about: a modern car, air conditioning in July and a professional who drives weddings regularly. If a classic car is the whole point for you, book one for the photographs. Our role is then the guests, the evening and anything that has to run to time.
