Roadshow transportation is a dedicated car and chauffeur that holds an investor roadshow together: one vehicle and one driver for a schedule of eight to ten meetings that has to survive contact with a real city. SilverDrive provides it in Amsterdam and across Europe, from its own fleet, with the day priced as one fixed figure.
On a deal roadshow (an IPO, a bond issue, a fundraise) the management team's day is sold in 45-minute slots, and the only flexible element in the plan is the time between buildings. The driver is not performing journeys; the driver is defending a schedule. That means being outside the building before the meeting ends, every time, and knowing which entrance the team will actually emerge from.
What is included in a roadshow car service
You get one car, one chauffeur and one version of the schedule for the whole day. Specifically:
- A dedicated vehicle and chauffeur from the first pickup (often a 07:30 breakfast meeting) to the last drop-off, with no other bookings fitted in between.
- Advance mapping of every address, including the awkward pickups, so tight transitions are flagged while there is still time to move a slot.
- Changes taken by message from the schedule owner and absorbed without a new booking or a new driver briefing.
- Waiting outside each meeting included, so an overrun does not start a meter.
- The same chauffeur across a multi-day booking, who by day three knows the team's rhythm without being told.
There is a quieter benefit too. On a day of ten meetings, the back seat is the only room the team gets to itself: where the CFO rereads the numbers and the bankers debrief the session just finished. Our chauffeurs are screened, English-speaking and discreet, which matters more here than on almost any other booking.
How a roadshow day runs, step by step
- Briefing. The banker's assistant or the executives' EA sends the meeting list: times, addresses, on-site contacts, team size and hotel.
- Planning. We map the day, check entrances and drop-off points, and tell you which transitions the city will not allow.
- The day. The chauffeur confirms position before each pickup and is waiting before the meeting ends. Changes go to the chauffeur by message; the team itself never coordinates anything.
- The close. After the final meeting the car takes the team to the hotel, the airport or straight onto the next city.
Vehicles for roadshow teams
The vehicle follows the team size. A CEO and CFO with one or two bankers fit a Mercedes-Benz S-Class, a Mercedes-Maybach or a BMW i7. A fuller deal team with materials takes the seven-seat V-Class, where facing seats turn transfers into preparation time. The usual shape is a saloon for the principals and a V-Class for the wider team. Every car is from our own fleet, so the car booked is the car that arrives.
Multi-city roadshows across Europe
We run the European circuit (Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Paris, London, Zurich) by linking the city days by road where the road wins and meeting the flight where it does not. Amsterdam to Frankfurt is about 4.5 hours by road and works well as an evening leg after the last meeting, with luggage and materials staying in the car. For longer legs such as Paris to London, we arrange the car to the terminal and the car on arrival, so the itinerary still has one owner. See city-to-city chauffeur service for the road legs.
Who roadshow transportation suits, and who it does not
It suits deal roadshows, non-deal investor days, analyst meetings and any day where a missed slot costs more than the car. It is the wrong answer for a single meeting across town: a one-way business chauffeur transfer is cheaper and does the job. If you want a car on standby without a fixed meeting list, hourly chauffeur hire is the simpler booking.
