The Schiphol VIP Centre is a separate facility at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol with its own entrance, lounge, check-in and security screening, where passengers are driven to or from the aircraft instead of walking the terminal. SilverDrive, a partner of the centre, collects and delivers passengers at its door in a fixed-price car with a screened chauffeur.
What the Schiphol VIP Centre is
It is a private terminal by reservation, not a lounge you enter with a ticket or a card. Schiphol's VIP Service covers check-in, baggage handling, a private security check, passport formalities inside the centre, food and drink, and transport between the centre and the aircraft. The centre sits on Jan Plezierweg, apart from the public terminal and not signposted for general passengers.
It is a paid service, booked in advance through Schiphol, and it is used by private aviation clients and by commercial passengers who need to stay out of the main flow. - The VIP team meets you at the aircraft and drives you to the centre, where passport and baggage formalities happen privately.
- Your chauffeur is at the door. Luggage goes in the boot and you leave for your hotel, home or meeting.
How a VIP departure works
We collect you at a time agreed with the centre and drive you to its entrance rather than the departures hall. Inside you check in privately, pass your own security screening and wait in the lounge, and the VIP team escorts you on to the aircraft.
Vehicles for VIP Centre transfers
Most VIP Centre passengers travel in the Mercedes-Benz S-Class or the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class. The EQS and BMW i7 offer an electric alternative, and the 7-seat V-Class suits a family or a delegation with luggage. Larger parties can add a Sprinter VIP or a second car under one dispatcher.

When the VIP Centre is not necessary
For most trips a standard airport transfer with meet and greet in arrivals is enough, and it costs less because there is no VIP Service fee. The Schiphol VIP Centre is worth booking when privacy, security or a very short airport process matters more than the extra cost.
