A security driver is a professionally trained chauffeur whose job extends beyond driving: route planning, situational awareness, secure pick-up and drop-off procedures, and coordination with close protection teams where present. SilverDrive provides security drivers in the Netherlands and across Europe for executives, public figures and delegations who need more than comfort from their transport.
The visible part looks like any premium chauffeur service: a Mercedes S-Class or V-Class, a suited driver, a punctual pick-up. The invisible part is the work: routes planned in advance with alternatives, arrival points checked before the client steps out, vehicle positioning that allows departure without maneuvering, and a driver who watches the environment rather than the radio. Security driving is mostly prevention; a well-planned journey is one where nothing visible happens.
The distinction matters. A security driver is a protective measure built into transport; close protection (bodyguarding) is a separate discipline with its own licensing. SilverDrive provides the driving layer and works alongside close protection teams when clients bring them: we share route plans, agree on procedures and let each discipline do its job. For most corporate clients, a security driver alone is the appropriate, proportionate level.
Discretion governs everything: unmarked vehicles with privacy glass, drivers vetted and trained for high-profile work, no client information shared, and booking handled through a single contact rather than a platform. The fleet is the same as our VIP service: S-Class, Maybach, V-Class for teams. We drive the Netherlands daily and cross-border throughout Europe. Contact us to discuss requirements; security work is quoted per assignment, not per ride.
A chauffeur’s job is comfort and punctuality. A security driver adds protective skills: route planning with alternatives, situational awareness, secure arrival and departure procedures, and coordination with protection teams.
Yes. We provide the transport layer and align routes and procedures with the client’s own security detail. Many assignments come through security companies and family offices.
Completely. Assignments run through a single contact, client details are never shared, and our drivers are contractually bound to discretion.
Yes: single events, multi-day visits and standing arrangements are all possible. Each assignment is quoted individually based on the risk profile and schedule.
