UN Campus, World Conference Center and Cologne Bonn Airport pickups, with a discreet chauffeur and a price fixed before you travel.
Bonn, the former West German capital, is now Germany's UN city, with the UN Campus and the World Conference Center in the Federal Quarter on the Rhine, alongside the headquarters of DHL Group and Deutsche Telekom. Delegations, officials and executives arrive through Cologne Bonn and Düsseldorf airports or at the ICE station Siegburg/Bonn.
SilverDrive serves Bonn with its own fleet and screened, English-speaking chauffeurs, and the same booking can continue to Cologne, Düsseldorf or Frankfurt.
A chauffeur service in Bonn is a car from SilverDrive’s own fleet and a screened, English-speaking driver, booked at a fixed price before you travel. In Bonn it covers transfers from Cologne Bonn or Düsseldorf airports, conference days at the World Conference Center and the UN Campus, meetings in the Federal Quarter and pickups at the ICE station Siegburg/Bonn.
Bonn was the seat of the West German government for four decades, and the move to Berlin did not empty it. The former government district, the Federal Quarter on the Rhine, is now home to the United Nations campus, a major conference centre, the headquarters of DHL Group and Deutsche Telekom, and the international broadcaster Deutsche Welle, while several federal ministries still keep offices in the city. The result is a steady stream of delegations, officials and executives on tight schedules, which is exactly the traffic a chauffeur service is built for.
Bonn bookings fall into four groups, and each is quoted as one fixed price before you commit.
| Booking | Typical use | What it includes |
|---|---|---|
| Airport transfer | Cologne Bonn or Düsseldorf Airport to Bonn | Flight tracking, meet and greet, 60 minutes of waiting after touchdown |
| Business chauffeur | Meetings in the Federal Quarter, station pickups | A car at a stated time, door to door |
| Hourly chauffeur | Conference days and several appointments | The car and chauffeur stay with you |
| Group transport | Delegations and conference groups | Coordinated cars, a Sprinter VIP or a coach |
Cologne Bonn Airport (CGN) lies between the two cities, roughly 25 minutes from central Bonn by road in normal traffic, and it is the natural choice for most European flights. Düsseldorf Airport (DUS) is about an hour and a quarter away and offers far more long-haul routes, so it is often the better choice for intercontinental flights.
A SilverDrive airport pickup works the same way at both. You book with your flight number and destination, we track the flight, your chauffeur meets you in arrivals with a name sign and takes the luggage, and 60 minutes of waiting after touchdown is included. Our Düsseldorf Airport guide covers that terminal in detail, and Frankfurt Airport, about 1.5 to 2 hours south-east along the A3, is covered in our Frankfurt Airport guide.
Some long-distance travellers arrive by rail. ICE trains between Amsterdam and Frankfurt call at Siegburg/Bonn, a station east of the city on the high-speed line, about 20 to 25 minutes from central Bonn by car. A chauffeur meeting the train saves the regional connection with luggage and takes you straight to the hotel, the Federal Quarter or the airport.
The heart of the Federal Quarter is the UN Campus. Its main building is the former parliamentary tower known as the Langer Eugen, and around 25 United Nations organisations now work in Bonn, most of them on the campus, which gained an extension, the Climate Tower, in 2022.
Next to it stands the World Conference Center Bonn, built around the former plenary hall of the Bundestag and extended into a conference centre for up to 7,000 people. UN meetings, international congresses and corporate events bring delegations from around the world, and their days follow a pattern: an early arrival, security checks, sessions that overrun and dinners across town.
A chauffeur makes that pattern predictable. Security arrangements in the Federal Quarter differ from one event to the next, so your chauffeur agrees the set-down and pickup points with you in advance and stays reachable for the return. A multi-day booking keeps the same chauffeur with the delegation throughout, and larger groups travel in the 16-seat Sprinter VIP or the Setra coach. Our event transportation page explains how we coordinate several cars for one programme.
The Post Tower, headquarters of DHL Group, stands beside the conference centre and the UN Campus, and Deutsche Telekom’s headquarters is in the same district, as is Deutsche Welle. A visiting executive may fly into Cologne Bonn or Düsseldorf, spend the day in meetings and leave the same evening.
A business chauffeur is built for that day: airport to office, waiting time between meetings, and back to the terminal with the luggage still in the car. For a programme that continues to Cologne, Düsseldorf or Frankfurt, one booking covers the whole route with one chauffeur. For regular visitors, a standing arrangement is usually simpler; our corporate car service guide explains how that works.
Bonn is a pleasant city to spend a free evening or a weekend in, and a car links the places that are not next to each other.

SilverDrive was founded in Amsterdam by Joshua Faerber and runs its own fleet rather than brokering rides to unknown subcontractors. In Bonn that means a car we maintain, a chauffeur we screened, a fixed price agreed at booking and flight tracking on every airport pickup. Discretion is the default, which matters in a district of ministries and international organisations, and the same chauffeur can drive you from Amsterdam to the Federal Quarter and on to Frankfurt in a single booking.
We are also clear about the alternatives: for one person between two stations the train is cheaper, and a taxi suits a short hop across town. A chauffeur earns its place with airports, conference days, delegations and early starts. See all the places we cover on our cities page.
Cologne Bonn Airport (CGN), between the two cities, is the closest, roughly 25 minutes from central Bonn by road in normal traffic. Düsseldorf Airport has more long-haul routes and is about 1 hour 15 minutes away. SilverDrive collects at both with flight tracking and a price agreed at booking.
About 3 hours in normal traffic, crossing the border near Emmerich and passing Cologne, and longer at peak times around Utrecht, Arnhem and the Rhine-Ruhr. With a chauffeur the drive becomes working or resting time, and you arrive at the actual address rather than at a station.
Yes, at the set-down point that applies for your conference. Security arrangements in the Federal Quarter vary from event to event, so your chauffeur agrees the exact drop-off and pickup spot with you beforehand and stays reachable for the return.
Yes. ICE trains between Amsterdam and Frankfurt call at Siegburg/Bonn, which lies east of the city. Your chauffeur meets you at the station and drives you to your hotel, the Federal Quarter or the airport, with the price fixed when you book.
For one person between two stations, the train is cheaper, and a taxi suits a short hop across town. A chauffeur suits airport runs, conference days, delegations, early starts and guests you are responsible for, with a known car, a named driver and a fixed price.
From a single CGN pickup to a week of sessions at the World Conference Center, a chauffeur service in Bonn from SilverDrive comes with a fixed price, a screened driver and a car from our own fleet. Book your Bonn chauffeur and we confirm the details before you travel.
